The scouts joined forces with the Epping in bloom team

On the evening of 20th October Scouts from 1st Theydon Garnon Scout Group joined forces with the Epping in Bloom team.Together using their bare hands and hand tools they cleared a heavily overgrown area of weeds and bushes at the back of M&S Market garden terrace. The area will be planted with fresh flowers and plants giving the area a new lease of life next year. It was good to see the Scouts working hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder with other volunteers in the community

The Epping in bloom team can't thank the scouts enough for all their hard work.We are so grateful that they have helped us take one step closer to creating the community garden.

Most of the site is now weed free.We are now appealing to local builders and tradesman to come forward with some idea's and help for the entrance to the garden. We would like to create a garden that can be used by every one that has disabled access, is push chair friendly and the elderly can use it too.We want everyone to enjoy the new garden next year.

In November the Epping in bloom team are creating a Christmas display. There will be a nativity scene painted by the scouts and some very fun festive creative displays to help to get you into the festive mood
